Uploading and converting 3D models
Live Web officially supports Collada files for import and conversion.
To create and import Collada files into Live Web please refer to the instructions for the following applications;

3D warehouse

Select the model from the Google 3D Warehouse

Select Download Model

Select and Download the Collada zip file.

Unzip and rearrange all unzipped files into a single folder (1 directory structure).

Zip up the arranged files.

Go to Live Web.

Login and Open up "My Workspace".

Upload the zip files into your My Files or Workspace Folder.

Check the box "Auto-extract if uploading a zip file" to extract the zip automatically

If Auto Extract is unchecked. Unzip the zip file by Right Click - More Actions - Extract or More Actions - Extract from the top panel

Go to the unzipped folder / workspace

Right click on the [File Name].dae file and select Convert.

This conversion (model rendering) may take a few minutes depending on the complexity of your model.

Click the blue magnifying glass to view or right click - view if you wish to do so.
Sketchup 6 / 7

Sketchup 6 / 7 does not allow the direct export of Collada files. (You have to upgrade to Sketchup Pro for this functionality)

Upload your model to the Google 3D warehouse. File - 3D warehouse - share model

Once the model is up in the 3D Warehouse, Google will create a Collada file ready for download. This may take some time depending on the complexity of the Sketchup file.

From Sketchup 6 / 7 Pro

Select File - Export - 3D Model

Select "Collada (*.dae)" as the export type.

Once Sketchup has exported, rearrange all the texture files and the *.dae file into one folder.

Unzip and rearrange all unzipped files into a single folder (1 directory structure).

Open up My Workspace.
